Nau - sustainable urban+outdoor apparel
We’ve been featuring magnifeco men’s fashion all week, and a few days ago we featured the “one-stop-shop” C by Connect. What we didn’t tell you is that C by Connect came to life after Nau closed it’s Chicago doors and they wanted to keep the collection (and in fact stock every piece of Nau clothing) in their Chicago location. Nau (pronounced “now”) is a clothing company based in Portland, Oregon. They make sustainable urban+outdoor apparel - integrated designs for the modern mobile life, for men and women. Built with the insulation on the inside, where it belongs, the Go-More-Pile’s PolarTec® Thermal Pro® fleece has a smooth, layerable surface that hides a long-fiber, plush interior. The inside/outside combo cranks up the heat in any layered system, and looks clean when worn as a top layer. And Thermal Pro® fleece is spun entirely from recycled plastic bottles and polyester scrap, using Teijin’s ECOCIRCLE® technology, and manufactured domestically by Polartec®. $175 USD.
These twill cargo pant feature Heavy-weight 11 oz. organic cotton double twill with 4% spandex for added resiliency and flexible movement. Articulated knees and engineered seems offer a clean fit. Thigh pockets zip closed, and are hidden on the seams to disappear when empty. $95 USD.
The Shroud Of Purrin Trench’s clean design is complimented by a smooth face fabric that’s water repellent, wind resistant and breathable. Concealed inside, however, is a warm and soft lining that insulates and feels great next to skin. The ultimate travel trench, it’s warm, lightweight, super-compressible and packs a cool, cosmopolitan vibe. And at the end of its long life the Shroud can be recycled once again into polyester fibers for reuse. $375 USD.
The Urbane Jacket is a two-layer waterproof, windproof, breathable laminate stands up to stormy weather in all its forms. Waterproof Riri® zippers and full front placket, secured with webbing-mounted buttons. Removable hood and articulated sleeves facilitate freer movement. $265 USD. Nau ships only in the U.S., but C by Connect will ship Nau products anywhere.
